Blog - Tried and Trusted Apr 2016

Guest Blog, Steve Ott Editor of Kitchen Garden Magazine

When keen gardeners aren’t actually outside, usually because it is dark or raining, the chances are they will be indoors thinking about the next task or dreaming up a new planting scheme. For many time-strapped people these days that means turning to the internet and our favourite gardening websites. So what should a good website provide?

Well as a keen gardener myself, I want a site that is packed with information I can trust and in a form I can easily access. I want it to be bright and interesting and for it to provide simple answers to my questions either directly from the site, or from a community of like-minded people.

I also like it to offer news of the latest products and services, but  also the chance to have some fun and maybe win a prize along the way!

The newly updated and relaunched websites, www.kitchengarden.co.uk and www.wilkinsonsword-tools.co.uk do all these things and more and are well worth a bookmark in your browser as you’ll find yourself returning again and again.

On the Kitchen Garden site you can gain access to our very active and informative forum, click through to our Facebook and Twitter feeds, or contact the editorial team if you have a burning gardening question that needs a quick answer. Subscribers to Kitchen Garden magazine in its paper or new enhanced and interactive digital format, can also gain access to lots more unique content including extra recipes, offers, growing advice and competitions.

What more could you need to relax after a hard day’s gardening!
